Gadget Travel: Bond Edition, Traveling on Discovery Channel Radio



Gadget Travel on "Traveling with Paul Lasley & Elizabeth Harryman", Discovery Channel Radio Sirius Channel 119. This segment, GadgetTravel talks about three cool spystyle gadgets. The Docupen RC800 portable scanner, the Plustek Optislim M12 PlusMobile Sheetfed Color Scanner, and the Canon BJC-80 Portable Printer. We also chatted about wireless broadband.

The Docupen RC800 portable scanner:

The RC800 scanner is the size of a fat ballpoint pen and is capable of storing 100's of pages into memory and it takes just seconds to scan a page. Three scanning modes: black and white, standard color or high 24bit color, with resolution from 100 to 400 dpi. Scans a FULL PAGE including text and graphics in as little as 4 seconds.



The Plustek Optislim M12 Plus Mobile Sheetfed Color Scanner:

The Plustek Optislim M12 Plus can scan up to 600 dpi in five scanning modes (2 color, 3 grayscale/b&w) and can scan up to 3 pages per minute that are as large as legal size. It's about the size of a "fat ruler" and runs right off your Laptops USB connection. Downside is it scans in USB 1.1.




Canon 's BJC-80 Portable Printer:

At only 3 pounds, the Canon BLC-80 is for those who need mobility a printer. It has a 30-sheet input tray, can print at either 4.5 ppm for black or 2 ppm for color, at 720 x 360 dpi resolution. It can use either parallel or infrared interfaces.
